We provide a broad range of Commercial Diving services that are performed by our fully certified commercial divers. Our core business is to provide diving and integrated underwater services.  These can include but are not limited to inspection, maintenance, and repair of vessels, infrastructure (eg wharfs/jetties), seabeds and moorings. Salvage and recovery of vessels, vehicles, and ship componentry (such as anchors).

We have a strong passion for the management of biosecurity and biofouling. Protecting our diverse marine environment whilst delivering performance benefits for vessel operators. Our services in this area include Biofouling Management Plan Development and Maintenance, compliance support, biofouling inspections and in-water hull and niche area cleaning.

With an innovative approach to the way we deliver our services we use technology such as ROV (remove operated vehicles) and our unique blockchain based technology platform, MarineStream™, to live-stream the delivery of underwater inspections, in real time.

The Australian Government, Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry have implemented new requirements for managing biofouling on vessels arriving in Australia from the 15th of June, 2022 and requires operators of all vessels to provide information on biofouling management practices prior to arriving in Australia.

For entry into New Zealand waters, vessel operators must be able to demonstrate that the vessel biofouling condition is to a standard considered acceptable by New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (NZMPI) and compliant with the Craft Risk Management Standard (CRMS)

Recreational diving is just that, for recreational purposes – to have fun and enjoy the water environment. Although Commercial Divers also have the benefit of enjoying the water environment, their purpose is to complete a required task in an occupational setting.

Recreational diver training is used as a prerequisite for Commercial divers to ensure that trainees have a basic degree of comfort with the underwater environment, however under Australian diving legislation, occupational divers are required to be trained in accordance with the provisions of the Australian/New Zealand Standards Standard and to have an ADAS certificate.

Commercial Divers typically work harder and consume more air than recreational divers, therefore the air supply more commonly used is Surface Supplied Breathing Apparatus (SSBA), over SCUBA

A day in the life of a Commercial Diver, can vary from day to day and across different projects. The day will begin with mobilisation for a specific job, including participation in toolbox and safety meetings.

You may be working a local or regional port, conducting an in-water hull or infrastructure inspection.  You could be conducting an IMS (Invasive Marine Species) Inspection with a Marine Biofouling Expert (remotely or on site), ensuring compliance prior to a vessel leaving a port for entry into another Country.

It is the nature of the business that we must be adaptable and flexible as the needs of our clients can change regularly.

To become an Onshore Commercial Diver you need to complete ADAS training in Occupational SCUBA to 30m (Part 1) & Occupational SSBA to 30m (Part 2), at an accredited training establishment.
