Franmarine's Environmental Management System is approved by DNVGL to ISO14001:2015 Standards. We have a strong commitment to protecting the environment, in particular the marine environment in which we work in.
Our company is at the forefront "worldwide" in the development of environmentally benign hull cleaning systems, low impact mooring systems and has been involved in a number of other successful environmental programs such as seagrass rehabilitation.
Management and employees recognise the need to ascertain potential environmental hazards and design procedures that allow contracted services to be performed in a non-invasive manner.
Before commencing any major project, Franmarine performs environmental risk evaluations and, where appropriate, develops and implements environmental management plan (EMP) specific to that project.
Franmarine’s efforts towards environmental protection were officially recognised after Cockburn Cement Ltd’s seagrass transplantation project won them a "Golden Gecko" award for environmental excellence. Cockburn Cement Ltd utilised our services in the development of a mechanical seagrass transplantation system and acknowledged the importance of our involvement in the project being a success. In 2014 were were awarded the Golden Gecko Award for the removal of potentially harmful biofouling using the 'Envirocart".
We continue to forge strong working relationships with leading environmental consultants, universities and scientists.
